I know the state and school districts calculate per students costs by subtracting out a lot of the costs.

I prefer simpler math, School Budget divided by Student enrollment

Londonderry last year:
Budget $63,472,328 divided by 5,150 students =  $12,324 per student

Now let's look at a neighboring Town. No particular reason I chose Hudson other than it cam up in discussion this week and the data was available online

Hudson last year:
Budget $43,340,884 divided by 4,113 students =  $10,537 per student

If Londonderry costs were equivalent to Hudson we would have saved $1,787 per student or a total of 9.2 Million dollars.
