If you were planning on attending the last Economic Development Task Force meeting you most likely missed the opportunity.

When: Tuesday, December 08, 2009 7:00 PM-9:00 PM
Where: Merrill conf. rm.

The agenda will be:

- Approval of minutes
- Conduct Local SWOT analysis
- Update on the marketing effort

Nothing posted on the Town website or at Town Hall, at least not as of Monday night.
Maybe it was an invitation only event Wink

Surprises never end. No meeting posted, but the minutes of the meeting on the town website in record time.

Economic Development Task Force

The meeting opened at 7 pm in the Merrill conf rm

 Approval of Minutes

D. Jorgenson made a motion to approve the minutes.
R. Brideau seconded the motion. No discussion. Vote on the motion: 3-0.
J. Farrell said the minutes will be signed at the conclusion of the meeting.

J. Farrell asked about the timeline for launching of the website. A. Garron said January 20th is planned. A. Garron said he will get a definite date for the next meeting. A. Garron said the marketing aspect is done & now we need to integrate the message into the new economic development website. J. Farrell asked if we could work in the website updating with the school district. A. Garron feels that the vacant administrative support position is needed especially now that we will need someone to update the website. J. Farrell asked A. Garron to speak with Nate Greenberg before end of this week.

S. Benson asked if we’ve considered social aspects i.e. Facebook, Twitter, etc. D. Moskowitz asked how we’re going to market our website. A. Garron said that will be part of what our marketing consultant will be doing. He said that we currently have “regional” statements for our website and we really need to be more of a collaborative effort.

A. Garron said that we need to have specific links for search engines that will draw people to Londonderry. A. Althought the link above still directs to the Town Council emails.

The Economic Developement web page was edited to remove the link. Curious
